ART IN THE WILD

THE SPACESHIP

Cronin created a series of alien paintings and soon thereafter he created a sculpture of a spaceship merely for the sake of creating; nothing more, nothing less. Constructed of a wood undercarriage, Cronin hand-applied layers and layers of fiberglass onto the piece to create a manufactured finish. He installed the piece two times. The first installation was in Hudson, NY at NADA (New Art Dealers Alliance) and the second installation was at Asbury Lanes for All Tomorrow's Parties. The piece remained at The Lanes until Hurricane Sandy, when it was destroyed by the forces of nature. RIP
