In many ways, Cronin's journey to Thread began through his work with Go Doc Go, a non-governmental, international medical organization (NGO) that works to prevent cervical cancer around the world. In June of 2018, Cronin traveled to West Africa with the NGO to see their work in the field and to experience the vibrancy of Senegal. While there, he was introduced to the work of Le Korsa, an NGO that collaborates with Go Doc Go. Le Korsa works to provide support to organizations and individuals that increase access to medical care, economic opportunity, education, and the arts for the people in Senegal. Like Le Korsa, Cronin, as an artist and CronArt as a brand, are driven by the core mission of empowering people through art, education, healthcare, and civic participation on a global scale -- a true partnership between art and activism.
A portion of sales from works created at Thread will be donated to Le Korsa, The Albers Foundation's sibling organization that supports medical and educational facilities in rural Senegal, West Africa.
